JOHANNESBURG - Police are on the scene of what appears to be a suicide outside the HSBC building in Sandton, north of Johannesburg.

A man's body was found in the early hours of Friday morning, but details are still sketchy at this stage.

It is believed the man jumped to his death.

As employees start arriving for work, security guards washed away blood near the entrance to the building.

The man’s body is still lying on the ground at the scene.

It is understood he may have jumped to his death at around 3am this morning.

The man’s identity is not yet known and employees at the scene are refusing to speak.

Police cannot confirm any details as yet.
