Fans meet Gaga at Lanseria
Fans meet pop sensation Lady Gaga as she lands at Lanseria Airport.
JOHANNESBURG - Twitter has been abuzz since pop sensation lady gaga landed on African soil on Tuesday.
At least 300 fans made their way to Lanseria airport on Tuesday to get a glimpse of their favourite music icon.
Due to the large number of fans, the pop star had to use a private entrance for her private jet.
Shortly before landing Gaga tweeted, “I am in Africa, but we have not landed yet. I think I saw a giraffe, although I’m sure I’m seeing things because I’m so excited."
Fans who did manage to see the “Pokerface” sensation told Eyewitness News that they can’t wait for Friday’s performance at FNB stadium.
“We’d actually missed it, but when we saw that it was delayed we thought this was our chance,” said one fan.
Another said, “It’s going to be phenomenal. Friday cannot come soon enough.”
After arriving at her hotel, the “Queen of the Monsters” tweeted, “What a beautiful night. I am so sleepy, good night South Africa.”
