CAPE TOWN - Ajax Cape Town interim coach Jan Pruijn on Friday said it had not been easy trying to get the team to perform at a high level.

The Urban Warriors are struggling on field with their bad form and boardroom squabbles off it.

They have only won two games since the beginning of the season.

Pruijn said there had been more than one factor going against them.

“Let’s see how it works out, it’s not an easy challenge. This team has a lot of quality but it also lacks a lot of things.”

Pruijn said he believed he had the ability to get the team on the right track.

“I’m confident enough to make certain things happen. I have a positive attitude.”

It was not yet clear when the Cape Town-based team would appoint a permanent coach.
