Missing hiker found dead
Authorities have discovered the body of a hiker in Bainskloog Nature Reserve.
CAPE TOWN - The body of a man has been found in the Bainskloof Nature Reserve in Paarl.
It is understood the body belongs 28-year-old Botswana national Robert Barclay, who went missing while hiking with others at the weekend.
Metro emergency services rescuers have spent the past few days searching for him.
Emergency services spokesperson Keri Davids said the body was located in a gorge on the Wellington side of Bainskloof pass on Tuesday morning.
The man's mother Karen Barclay said, “He was amazing. He was a typical Scorpio and he was a very beautiful person. He understood me.”
