JOHANNESBURG - One man was injured after an armed business robbery in Sandown Estate in Sandton.

The robbery is said to have occurred two blocks away from where Julius Malema is busy renovating his home.

A group of robbers entered an architectural and interior design firm at around 7am and attacked an employee before fleeing with several computers and a television.

One of the employees was injured after the robbers hit him on the head.

He is currently being treated in hospital.

Marvellous Ncube, who is the site manager, describes how he interrupted the robbery.

“I saw someone running before jumping inside. I walked over to investigate and before I knew it someone was pointing a gun at me.”

About eight computers and a television were stolen and the robbers fled in a company vehicle.

The police are investigating.
