Jacob Moshokoa | 23 September 2012 JOHANNESBURG - It is being reported that arrest warrants have been issued for nine other accused, who are to appear in a Polokwane court along with Julius Malema, this week. A warrant for Malema's arrest was issued on Friday on charges of fraud, corruption and money laundering related to his Ratanang Family Trust. The Sunday Times is reporting that five individuals and four companies are included on the charge sheet. The paper states that among those, who will join Malema in the dock, include his business partner, On Point Sharing, in which Malema hold shares through his trust and the business partner of Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale, who is seen as a key Malema ally. At the same time EduSolutions, the company at the centre of the Limpopo textbook scandal, has denied it has links to the expelled ANC Youth League leader. The league has vowed to continue supporting its former president. It is not clear whether Malema will be arrested or whether he will be allowed to hand himself over to the court. His lawyer says they do not have a court date yet. Malema has denied any wrongdoing. He maintains the charges are politically motivated. Malema was expelled from the ANC in April after calling President Jacob Zuma a dictator. Malema has been publicly criticising Zuma’s leadership in recent months. He wants Zuma to be replaced by deputy president Kgalema Motlanthe in Mangaung in December. (Edited by Lindiwe Mlandu)
