JOHANNESBURG - Hundreds of Alexandra residents have gathered at a local stadium to commemorate the ANC centenary.

President Jacob Zuma is expected to address the community after holding meetings with local leaders.

Entertainers are keeping the crowds busy as they wait for the president to speak.

The pavilion is packed with people dressed in bright yellow t-shirts bearing the ANC logo.

Some of them are clad in green and black, ANC Women's League regalia.

Meanwhile, Zuma has been locked in talks with community leaders, who are briefing him about the problems that residents are faced with.
