Armand to replace Holmes against Griquas
Western Province has decided to move Don Armand to flank for their clash against the Griquas.
CAPE TOWN - Don Armand is set to start at seven flank for Western Province on Saturday replacing the suspended Tyrone Holmes.
Holmes, who was red carded for fighting during the match against the Sharks, has been slapped with a one match ban.
Armand will move from lock to flank for the clash against Griquas in Newlands.
Western Province forward coach Matthew Proudfoot said Wilhelm van der Sluys will now move into the starting 15.
“Jebb Sinclair is available so he’ll come back to the squad. Don Armand will move out from the lock position to number seven and we’ll bring Wilhelm van der Sluys into the starting 15.”
Proudfoot said Armand is the best player to fill in at flank.
“He played there in the Super 15 and he might end up in that position.”
Province is currently in third place in the Currie Cup log following three loses.
Kickoff is at 3pm.
