JOHANNESBURG – Zimbabwe Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai will not be walking down the aisle on Saturday as planned.
A Zimbabwean court has reportedly cancelled his wedding licence.
BBC Africa posted a message about the latest development to social network Twitter this afternoon:
"#Zimbabwe court rules PM #Tsvangirai's wedding cannot go ahead as planned tomorrow."
The Prime Minister was due to wed Elizabeth Macheka.
But earlier this week Locardia Karimatsenga Tembo claimed to be his estranged wife and wanted to stop the impending wedding.
A court threw out Tembo's claim.
Later, a South African woman, Nosipho Regina Shulubane, also claimed Tsvangirai promised to wed her.
Lawyers for Tsvangirai, whose politial reputation has taken a knock from the love tussle surrounding Saturday's planned nuptials, said they would appeal the ruling.
