CAPE TOWN - The Robben Island Museum on Thursday said one of its main ferries was back in the water following routine maintenance.

The Sikhululekile had been making regular trips to and from the heritage site since Wednesday.

Some tour operators recently discouraged tourists from visiting the popular site, citing ferry delays.

CEO Sibongiseni Mkhize said, “We took Sikhululekile out during the winter season to prepare for our peak season which starts now.”
