CAPE TOWN - Newly promoted Premier Soccer League (PSL) side Chippa have reinstated Roger Sikhakhane as their coach.

Sikhakhane helped the team to be promoted from the National First Division.

He was not able to coach the team so far this season due to personal reasons.

He replaces Manqoba Mngqithi, who parted ways with the club, after just two matches.

Sikhakhane said he believed he can take the team to new heights.

“I know it’s going to be tough in the PSL but I believe in myself and the technical team is here to support me all the way.”

Owner and chairman of the club, Chippa Mgengesi, stressed team effort was important for the coach’s success.

The newcomers have not yet won a game in the PSL.

The will play Bidvest Wits on Sunday at Athlone.

Kickoff is at 3pm.
