CAPE TOWN - The Cape Chamber of Commerce said on Sunday it had noticed a significant change in gender leadership within small businesses in the province.

The chamber's comments follow a statement made by financial group, Business Partners Limited, indicating that more than 40 percent of investments are going to female-owned companies.

The organisation's Michael Bagraim said they are excited about the change especially after celebrating women's month.

“We have noticed that many of the small businesses are being led by women entrepreneurs.

“It’s been a great success in that the women have moved to the top of small business.”
