W.Cape MEC meets cop bosses

CAPE TOWN - Western Cape Community Safety MEC Dan Plato was meeting with police station commanders in the West Coast region on Friday afternoon to discuss their major challenges and priority crimes.

The body of a pregnant woman was found in an open field in Atlantis on Thursday

It is still not known how she died.

Plato's spokesperson Greg Wagner said the MEC wanted to receive an update on the crime situation from those who are tackling it on the ground.

Wagner said "should any serious issues be raised Plato would take them up with the provincial police commissioner."
