Boucher can still contribute - Pollock
The former Proteas Captain says Boucher will still able to contribute a lot more to cricket after he recovers.
CAPE TOWN - Former Proteas Captain Shaun Pollock said Mark Boucher can still contribute a lot more to cricket, once he recovers from his injury.
“I’m sure - there’s no doubt that he’ll find some niche way to be involved in South African cricket and make a contribution.”
Boucher suffered a laceration to his eyeball during a freak accident during a warm up game in England on Monday.
Pollock said Boucher was always passionate and dedicated to the game.
“Mark was always a self-motivator who was always up for a fight a looking to give of his best and the country to do well. He’s been a wonderful performer.”
On Tuesday, the wicketkeeper announced his retirement from international cricket.
