Santos will remain in PSL - Solomons
Former Santos coach Boebie Solomons says he firmly believes the People's Team will keep their PSL status.
CAPE TOWN - Former Santos coach Boebie Solomons on Thursday said he firmly believed the People's Team will keep their Premiership status.
They currently lead the promotion/relegation playoff table after they finished second from the bottom in the Premier Soccer League (PSL) log.
Solomons parted ways with the club earlier this week and will be Clinton Larsson's assistant at Bloemfontein Celtic.
He said Santos have the experience and the team to survive.
"It's tough because the teams that they are playing against are fighting to get into the Premier League. However, they have the expertise so they should win it. There's no doubt in my mind that they'll remain in the PSL."
He said Santos are not playing the best football because they were under pressure.
"It doesn't matter how they play, it's about winning."
Meanwhile, the Cape side failed to beat Chippa United on Wednesday night. The game ended 1-1.
