PRETORIA - The Tshwane Municipality on Thursday said it has not received a resignation from a senior official in the speaker's office, who is tipped be the council's next chief whip.
Eyewitness News understands Mapiti Matsena is expected to leave her office to take on her new role at the end of June.
Matsena returned to work a month ago, after being placed on suspension for three months.
She was under investigation for tender fraud.
Tshwane spokesperson Dikeledi Phiri said management has not received her resignation letter.
Phiri added the investigation into Matsena's conduct, relating to an R8 million marketing tender, has been finalised.
The findings will be made public after Matsena has been informed.
Meanwhile, Tshwane Mayor Kgosientso Ramokgopa dismissed claims he was planning to reshuffle his mayoral committee.
But two municipal officials, including a committee member, said a reshuffle was on the cards.
