JOHANNESBURG - The Hawks are investigating an alleged fraudulent claim of $1 million from murdered strip club owner Lolly Jackson's estate, by a company owned by controversial Czech businessman Radovan Krejcir.

Hawks spokesperson McIntosh Polela said “the person who might have made the claim is Radovan Krejcir.”

The company claims it loaned Jackson the money and that an agreement to pay it back was signed in 2010.

The loan was apparently due to be repaid in February 2012.

But Jackson's widow, Demi, believes the contract was forged and will challenge the claim in court on Tuesday.

She claims the deal was concluded as part of a sham transaction during a money laundering scheme set up between Jackson and Krejcir.

Polela said an investigation was launched immediately after the claim was made and that due processes are being followed.

Jackson was shot dead at a house in Kempton Park, in May 2010.
