Policeman caught red-handed
A policeman was arrested on Friday, after allegedly taking a R10 000 bribe.
JOHANNESBURG - A policeman who works at the Beitbridge border post was arrested on Friday, after he allegedly took a R10 000 bribe.
The warrant officer, who works in the vehicle identification section at the border post, allegedly wanted to help a man accused of stealing a car.
The policeman apparently demanded the money in return for his assistance.
The policeman was arrested during a sting operation in Musina, and is due to appear in court on Monday.
Police spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi said the man had R10 000 on his person, during the arrest.
