CAPE TOWN - Stormers coach Allister Coetzee on Monday did not rule out the possibility of new recruits being brought in as cover.

Coetzee recently brought in Canadian Jebb Sinclair as cover at eighth man, and with Nizaam Carr ruled out for the rest of the campaign, Coetzee could be forced to going that route again.

He said he was weighing up his options.

“You’ve got to cast the net wider. This is quite a tough competition and the two players, at Vodacom Cup level, are both not specialist number eights, and we require a specialist eighth man.”

Coetzee added he was happy with Sinclair so far.

“Jebb Sinclair has played there before and we are happy with the role he plays.”

The Cape side is currently sitting on number four on the Super Rugby log following their victory over the Cheetahs at the weekend.

The Stormers have lost only one match thus far.
