JOHANNESBURG - Former ANC Youth League (ANCYL) President Julius Malema on Monday broke his silence since being expelled from the ruling party.

He claims his disciplinary hearing was the work of "politically motivated individuals".

In April, the controversial politician was expelled after he was found guilty of sowing divisions and bringing the party into disrepute.

ANCYL spokesperson Floyd Shivambu was suspended for three years, while Secretary General Sidiso Magaqa was suspended for a year.

Malema said, “We remain loyal to the ANC. It is only the ANC that will bring about real transformation and economic change that will benefit all people.”
