CAPE TOWN – The National Health and Allied Workers' Union on Monday said FW de Klerk's recent comments on Apartheid are a slap-in-the-face to those who died fighting for democracy.
The union said De Klerk should be stripped of his Nobel Peace Prize, awarded to him during the 1990s.
In an interview on CNN last week, De Klerk stuck by the idea of the former homelands.
Nehawu's Sizwe Pamla said the ex-statesman didnot deserve his Nobel Peace Prize credentials.
“We feel that it takes away everything that the Nobel Peace Prize actually represents.”
