MPs pay tribute to ANC stalwarts
Members of Parliament gathered to pay tribute to the late Sicelo Shiceka, Florence Nyanda and Roy Padayachie.
CAPE TOWN - Members of Parliament (MPs) on Thursday gathered to pay tribute to the late Sicelo Shiceka, Florence Nyanda and Roy Padayachie. They were saluted and thanked for the work they did by the ANC caucus.
All three of the senior ANC members died last week within a space of six days.
President Jacob Zuma fired Shiceka in October after he was implicated in wrong doing by the public protector.
He denied the allegations and vowed to clear his name but was unable to do so before his death.
Meanwhile, Padayachie was serving as Public Service and Administration Minister at the time of his death.
He died in Ethiopia, where he was attending a meeting of the African Peer Review Mechanism.
