Kwaito star Brown Dash dies

South African musician Brown Dash died at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

JOHANNESBURG - South African kwaito star Simphiwe ‘Brown Dash’ Mpamile has died, his family confirmed on Wednesday.

The singer had been ill for several months.

The family said he passed away at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.

Mpamile was born in Zola, Soweto.

His hits include Phans’ komthunz’ welanga and Puff and Pass.
