JOHNANNESBURG - It has emerged in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court that suspended Tshwane Metro Police Deputy Chief Ndumiso Jaca will be facing nine charges, including fraud.
The criminal prosecution is the result of the Eyewitness News investigation which showed Jaca was driving an unregistered, unlicensed vehicle with false number plates.
The majority of charges he faces relates to the Road Traffic Act.
Not only does he have to explain why his BMW was unlicensed and unregistered, but also why he fitted his Harley Davidson with false plates.
Jaca asked the prosecution team to explain exactly what he did that was unlawful.
He also wants to know when and where exactly the state will claim that he drove this vehicle on a public road.
