Chappies Drive remains closed
Chapman's Peak Drive will remain closed for the next couple of days.
CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape Transport Department and the Public Works Department on Friday said Chapman's Peak Drive will remain closed for the next few days.
Authorities decided to close the pass following a routine inspection on Thursday.
Engineers identified potential slope failure near a safety barrier.
The department's Hector Elliot said the pass will probably be reopened on Sunday.
“We have to do some work before the pass is reopened.”
