The Gautrain is now doing test runs to Park Station ahead of May’s launch of the final phase of the project between Rosebank and the Johannesburg CBD.
The 16 kilometre underground stretch is now complete.
The volume of water in the tunnel delayed the opening of this section.
Officials said there is an efficient drainage system which will not affect operations.
The final phase will be open to the public in May.
Certain approval processes still need to be signed off.
