Local

Seven boys between the ages of 14 and 20 were arrested on Tuesday after gang raping a 17-year-old girl in Soweto.

The shocking and graphic 10-minute long cellphone video captures the 17-year-old girls' distress as she is repeatedly raped by the seven boys.

Faces, genitals and several acts of penetration are clearly visible and her attackers can be heard offering her R2 in exchange for her silence.

During the rape, the boys joke around and encourage each other.

The girl can be seen and heard pleading with them to stop while her attackers discuss whether or not she is crying.

The police's Kay Makhubela said the girl was reported missing by her mother three weeks ago.

“She’s just a normal girl that was captured by the boys and kept there for sexual activities,” Makhubela told Eyewitness News.

Police are looking for the girl who was apparently left with an elderly taxi driver in Dobsonville.

Makhubela said it was unclear if she is mentally disabled or was just drugged.
