The fight against the so-called secrecy bill continues with opposition parties standing united at their first meeting to discuss the legislation.
They are demanding a public interest defence clause be included in the Protection of State Information Bill.
Representatives from 121 parties are holding a rally in Khayelitsha outside Cape Town on Saturday.
Opposition parties are ganging up on the ruling ANC in their fight against the secrecy bill.
They are arguing if the bill is approved in its current form, it will muzzle whistleblowers and investigative journalism, in a country battling with corruption.
Parties will use the event to educate residents about the disadvantages of the bill.
Some party supporters have travelled as far as Grabouw to take part in the event.
